Accessible playground - Centre Wellington Rotary Club president Lyle McLaren and Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj, surrounded by local Rotarians and council members, cut the ribbon to officially open the new accessible playground at South Ridge Park in Elora on Sept. 13. The Rotary Cub was a major supporter, contributing $50,000 to the project. South Ridge developer Wrighthaven Homes Ltd. donated $25,000, and Jefferson Elora Corp. and Polycorp Ltd. donated $10,000 each. The park is Centre Wellington’s second accessible playground, with the other located at Stait Park in Fergus. “This is the second dream that came to fruition,” said Andy Speers, of Power of Play, the local group that co-ordinated the playground fundraising campaigns.    photo by Patrick Raftis
