Last week council awarded six projects to local companies at prices public works director Larry Lynch said are more fair than in previous years.
The successful quotations were as follows:
– Glen Allan streets, $97.50 (1.5 hours at $65 per hour), to Moorefield Excavating;
– Mapleton medical clinic parking lot, $50.25 (0.67 hours at $75 per hour), to Moorefield Excavating;
– PMD Arena lot and entrance, $100 (1.25 hours at $80 per hour), to Moorefield Excavating;
– Moorefield Community Centre parking lot and access road, $75 (one hour at $75 per hour), to Stan-Hoe Services;
– downtown Drayton roadside banks, $2,520 (three hours at $840), to Stan Driscoll and Son (SDS); and
– miscellaneous intersection show bank removal, $120 per event, to both Moorefield Excavating and SDS.
