Town to host Highland Games World Championships in August

“It is official.”
 The Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games will host this year’s World Highland Games Championships, IHGF vice president Frances Brebner announced recently
 “Warren Trask, president of the Fergus Highland Games, has agreed to be host this year’s world championships,” Brebner said. “The IHGF is very pleased that the championships will be returning once again to one of Canada’s most premier games events.”
 Brebner said the official starting list “will be released soon.” The Fergus Highland Games are August 10 to 12, but those world championships will all be done on one day.
