Town of Erin celebrates Erin Glen Town Centre groundbreaking
ERIN – The Town of Erin will soon welcome several new businesses to town, following a groundbreaking ceremony for the Erin Glen Town Centre.
The 150,000-square-foot commercial block overlooks Highway 124 inside the new Erin Glen community by Solmar Development Corp.
Alongside the retail centre, there are plans for a 40-acre business park and community park, to complement the residential homes being constructed.
“Erin Glen Town Centre will bring much-needed retail amenities to our growing community,” stated Erin Mayor Michael Dehn in a news release.
“This is also an important addition to Erin’s economy and the town’s commercial tax base.”
There are several new businesses confirmed for the retail space, including Shoppers Drug Mart, Subway, Dollarama, Domino’s Pizza, Bar Burrito, Pedi N Nails and Tipsy Fox. The new plaza will also host a dentist office and a day care centre.
“I know I speak for many parents in our community when I express our deep excitement for the brand-new, much-needed day care facility – bringing high-quality, reliable care closer to home for our growing families,” said Dehn.
There are plans for a restaurant with a patio, a second restaurant with a drive through lane, a pet shop, salon and a national grocer. The site will also offer approximately 500 parking spots.
Occupancy is to begin in the fall and the businesses are to open next spring.
