It is only coincidence that councillors here were dealing with three liquor licence applications from Mount Forest’s Royal Canadian Legion.

One was for an enclosed, licenced music and beer tent as part of the Mount Forest Fireworks Festival from July 18 to 20. The sales would be in conjunction with the hosting of a motorcycle Show and Shine that weekend.

The next application was for a licenced music and beer tent as part of its Haydays Hootenanny at the legion from Aug. 1 to 3.

Finally, the legion made application for a licenced booth at the Bi-County Slo-Pitch League’s year end tournament at the Kinsmen ball diamonds from Aug. 13 to 15.

Wellington North council supported all three requests without discussion.
