Thomson, William John; Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 4th, 2012 at the age of 82, in Fergus Ontario. Beloved husband of 56 years to Evelyn (Dunn) of Peterborough, Ontario. Extraordinary father to Lynne (Scott) Langille, Laurie (Mike) Knox, Alan (Karen) Thomson, and Scott (Mila) Thomson. Much loved grandfather of Justin, Katelyn, Brandon, Tyler, Katie, Joshua, Kyle, Karlee, Jonathan, William, Robert, Rachel, and Elizabeth. Proud great grandfather to Abigail. Dear and fond brother to Robert (Jan) Thomson of Brampton, Ontario and late sisters Kay and Jean. He was proud to have served his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force, and his stories and memories from this time remained with him throughout his life. Bill was an exceptionally kind man, and remains adoringly remembered by all who knew him for his generous spirit. We will forever miss his humour, care, and love. A celebration of Bill’s life was held by his family, to honour the memory of a husband, father, and friend on Thursday, May 10th in Fergus, Ontario.
