Town of Erin hosted Shamrock Awards on April 20 — Shamrock Awards – The Town of Erin hosted the Shamrock Awards ceremony on April 20 at Centre 2000 to honour citizens, organizations and businesses who have made a significant contribution to the betterment of the local community during 2020-21. Mayor Allan Alls congratulated the winners and thanked everyone who took the time to submit a nomination. The business of the year award went to Erin Fitness. Volunteer of the Year awards were presented to Bayne Upton, Sid Spear, Robin Brooks, Deanna McKay, and Jay Mowat. The Citizen of the Year award recipient was Doug Kirkwood, for his many contributions to the Erin Legion and endeavors to preserve and promote Erin’s history. Photo by Tristan Clark
