Special program - The Rotary Club of Fergus met at the Fergus Legion on Nov. 9 for a special Remembrance program. President Rob Galloway welcomed guests and introduced Bob Stubbings, Legion Branch 275’s historian who  presented a powerful keynote address about the men and women who served our country during wars.

Rotarians also honoured their members and war veterans: Jim Dixon, Navy; Ed Davies, Navy; Gil Plummer, Signal Corps and special guest Elizabeth Shoemaker, Army.

The club also presented Branch 257 president Randy Grahan and vice president John Martin with two metal poppies to recognize the 100th anniversary of the poppy as a symbol of Remembrance and to recognize the contribution of the Legion to the community.
