The Grand @ 92.9; radio is a step closer
Residents of Centre Wellington are one step closer to a local radio station.
In 2010, Centre Wellington Community Radio Inc., a not-for-profit organization applied to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) for a broadcasting license to operate a new FM radio station. The CRTC requested the public’s feedback or interventions to the application.
This February the application was presented at a public hearing. The final step is a decision on granting a licence, expected sometime this summer.
The station will provide service to listeners in Fergus, Elora, Salem, Belwood, Inverhaugh, and surrounding areas.
