The Good Brothers hold Rockwood concert for a Good cause
The Rockwood and District Lions Club is hosting its 7th Annual benefit dinner and dance on May 10.
The event will be held at the Rockmosa Community Hall, 74 Christie St., in Rockwood, and feature live music from the folk band, The Good Brothers.
The Good Brothers got their start in 1970 and have since been inducted into the Canadian Country Hall of Fame and nominated for two Canadian Country Music awards.
Their album, One True Thing, was voted Canada’s number one independent album of the year in 2003. Organizers say their catchy tunes are sure to get audiences smiling and tapping their toes.
Dinner will be served at 6pm, with the dance to follow at 9pm.
Tickets are $35 each with proceeds going towards the Weekend to End Women’s Cancer and to help meet club obligations.
