The Fox on the Fairway to tee off in Hillsburgh

he award-winning Century Theatre Guild opens its next production, The Fox on the Fairway, a new farce by Ken Ludwig, on May 29 at Century Church Theatre, Hillsburgh.

The show will have special appeal to golfers – and golf widows and theatre officials promise “great fun for everyone.”

Directed by Jo Phenix, and featuring Greg Allen, Nick Forrow, Dani Lowry, Brigida Scholten, Wendy West and Neville Worsnop, the pay is a charmingly madcap adventure about our eternal love affair with golf.

Set in an exclusive country club not far from Hillsburgh, Henry’s rash wager, and Dickie’s appallingly dreadful golf attire and sneaky schemes combine to create escalating mayhem, while the glamourous and amorous Pamela, and much misunderstood Muriel get caught in the crossfire.

Meanwhile, Justin and Louise’s star-crossed engagement is on and off so many times it will make your head spin. The result is a lighthearted and hilarious comedy. The show plays May 29 to June 7, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2:30pm, and tickets are $20. The Pantry Shelf Tea Room in Hillsburgh offers a pre-show three-course Sunday Lunch, which must be ordered through the box office.
