The Elmira Theatre Company presents If We Are Women Feb. 7 to 16
If We Are Women, written by Joanna McClelland Glass and directed by Susan Jennings, will be playing at the Elmira Theatre Company, 76 Howard Ave., Feb. 7 to 16.
Show Times are Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2:30pm.
If We Are Women is an entry in the Western Ontario Drama League Festival. Some material and language may be sensitive for some viewers.
Two grandmothers, a daughter and a granddaughter gather on the deck of a beach house in Connecticut. The granddaughter is 18 and is slated to go to Yale in the autumn.
After staying out all night with a young man, she arrives on the scene to announce a reversal of plans.
The three older women discuss their pasts and presents poetically, poignantly and humorously as they attempt to pass down the wisdom of their years.
