The Big Bike is back … in Wellington County

The Big Bike will soon be back in Wellington.

On June 4, the event will be covering much of the north end of the county with rides scheduled in Mount Forest, Palmerston and Harriston

On June 9, Rides are slated in both Centre Wellington and Arthur.

The Big Bike is one of the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s most FUN-raising fundraising events. Causing a commotion wherever it goes, the event is named after the big 30-seat bike.

Teams made up of 29 enthusiastic riders and one driver (provided by the Heart and Stroke Foundation) pedal through over 200 communities, across nine provinces.

This year’s goal is to raise $165,000 in Wellington / Dufferin for life-saving heart disease and stroke research and over 70 teams are registered to date across the region.

Not only is the Heart and Stroke Big Bike a fun adventure with friends and colleagues – it’s also free for organizations to participate.

It only takes about 20 minutes to ride the bike, but it is an experience particpants won’t soon forget!

Last year, over 40,000 riders, in over 200 communities, helped raise over $7 million for research.
