The Barn Dance Holiday Show

The Barn Dance Show is returning to Palmerston with a Holiday Show of Christmas, seasonal and traditional country music.

The Barn Dance Holiday Show opens at the Norgan Theatre in Palmerston on  Nov. 18, at 8pm (doors open at 7pm).

Master of ceremonies Jim Swan will introduce The Barn Dance Show Band and special guests: Amberley Beatty, tributes to Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn; John and Geneva Heaman, vocal duet and ventriloquism; Crystal Gage, singer, performer and comedian; singer Madison Kozak, 13, of Lindsay; Dan Mighton, award-winning Hanover fiddler; Gerald Davidson of the Country Versatiles.

The evening is a fundraiser for the Palmerston Railway Heritage Museum Association, a volunteer, not-for-profit organization committed to celebrating Palmerston’s heritage as a railway town. Proceeds will be directed toward the association’s current project – the restoration of a recently acquired CN caboose.

To date, siding on one side has been replaced and painted in CN orange and a set of wheels has been obtained; exterior work has ceased until next spring.

During the winter months, volunteers will work on the interior.

Tickets are $20 advance or $25 at the door, and are available in Palmerston (Capri Hair Styling, Cormack Home Hardware, L&M, Solutions, and Palmerston Museum members); Listowel (Palmerston Rental) and Wingham (Ernie King Music).
