Tea to the tune of chamber music

Music at the Hall is presenting two musicians on Oct. 16 at 3pm.

Renée Huynh Barabash will be joined by Andrés Tucci Clarke on cello in a varied program including works by Beethoven, Fauré and Martinu.

Music at the Hall will be presenting other Sunday afternoon classical music concerts in the months ahead.

Tea and baked goods will be served, enhancing the experience, making it feel like it’s a living room concert.

Pianist Renée Huynh Barabash has performed in Canada and Australia as a solo and chamber musician. As a recipient of the Ontario Graduate Scholarship, Barabash completed a masters degree in piano performance and pedagogy at the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Dr. Midori Koga.

Previously, she studied piano and harpsichord performance at Wilfrid Laurier University, and at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney, Australia.

While maintaining an active performing career cellist, Andrés Tucci Clarke is also a passionate teacher. He has a master’s degree in music performance, and is a certified Suzuki instructor.

Clarke has been a core member of the Sistema Toronto Academy faculty since 2013. Sistema Toronto is an intensive social program transforming the lives of children through ensemble-based music, and is based on the principles of the El Sistema program in Venezuela.

Clarke has also been a participant in many national and international music festivals.

Both artists are founding members of the Arabic Trio.
