Swim team wraps up 2014 season

Mighty Minto Minnows - With over 75 swimmers from the Minto and Mapleton area, the Minto Minnows Swim Team is one of the largest teams in the SWO Sharks Swimming Association. The team consists of dedicated coaches, a volunteer parents committee, talented swimmers and numerous volunteers. With the 2014 season ending on Aug. 8 at the finals held in Listowel, the team finished the year in fourth place in the overall team standings. “The team has always put forth an amazing effort and this year was no different,” said Cody Miller vice-president of the parents committee and SWO Sharks official. Kim Miller, president of the parents committee, said, “The Minto Minnows Parents Committee would like to thank everyone who supported the team and helped out over the season. We have an amazing group of coaches, volunteers and talented swimmers that make this team so incredible and a joy to be apart of.” With another season done and preparations already beginning for next year, the anticipation is already building to see what kind of “splash” the Mighty Minto Minnows will make in the 2015 season.    submitted photos
