SWEET, M. Jean (nee Bird) - Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington November 2, 2016, in her 82nd year. Loved and cherished by her husband Philip for over 51 years. Loving Mom of Anne (Bryan) Durst and the late Robert Sweet (2015). Special Grandma to James. Dear sister of Margaret Pearson. Jean was a faithful member of her Church family and community. Her many talents, leadership abilities, willingness to volunteer and compassion benefitted all who crossed her path. Jean especially loved music. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Guelph General Hospital and Hospice Wellington whose support, care and compassion were greatly appreciated by her family and friends. Family and friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2016 and Monday, November 14, 2016 from 10-11 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church, 99 Woolwich St., Guelph. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Reception to follow at the Wall-Custance Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington, St. George’s local outreach project or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
