Suspicious fire destroys abandoned barn in Puslinch Township
Barn gone - Firefighters were called to a suspicious fire at an abandoned barn on Forestell Road in Puslinch on May 31.

PUSLINCH - Police and the Fire Marshal's Office are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed an abandoned barn here on Friday evening.

Puslinch and Guelph-Eramosa firefighters were called to the structure fire on Forestell Road in Puslinch Township at about 5:30pm on May 31.

Firefighters arrived to find the abandoned barn fully engulfed in flames.

"No one was injured, however the structure is considered a total loss," stated a press release from the OPP.

Police say "the fire appears to be suspicious" and noted the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office has been notified.

Anyone with any information about the fire can contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip on-line at www.csgw.tips. Tip providers may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
