Superstars shine at recent Valentine competition — Valentine competition - Back Left: Morgan Hutchison, Shayla Logel, Alyssa George, Hayleigh Homer, Makenzie Worton, Paige Johnston, Lainey Saunders, and Alexis Herriot MIddle: Mackenzie Fraser, Olivia Cayer, Kylee Pringle, Jayda Saunders, and Chelsea McFadden. Saunders won the Beginner Duet division and the team of Cayer and Fraser won their Novice Duet division. The teams Jump In Line (members are J. Green, McFadden, and Pringle and Saunders) placed first; Too Close (members are Fraser, George, Irwin, Johnston, Logel and Worton) won second and Kiss From a Rose (members are Fraser, Herriot, Homer, Johnston, Logel and Saunders) won third.

NEWMARKET- The Superstars Baton Club started off their competition season well at their first 2020 competition in Newmarket on Feb. 8.

Approximately 40 athletes attended this Miss Valentine Twirl.

Local individual results are as follows:

Olivia Cayer, 9, of Arthur received one first;

Destinee Faust, 10, of Arthur received one second, one third, one fourth and was third in the Novice Miss Valentine Pageant;

Mackenzie Fraser, 13, of Arthur received two firsts, one fourth and won the Miss Heart Queen and the Junior Miss Intermediate Valentine Pageant;

Alyssa George, 16, of Fergus received three fourth and one sixth;

Amelia Green, 7, of Arthur received two firsts, one second and won the Prim Miss Heart Queen and the Prim Miss Novice Valentine Pageant;

Jamie Green, 10, of Arthur received one first, three seconds, one third and was third in PreTeen Miss Beginner Valentine Pageant;

Khloe Hall, 6, of Arthur received one first, one second, second in the Prim Miss Novice Valentine Pageant and won the Beginner Miss Heart Queen;

Alexis Herriot, 16, of Arthur received three firsts and won the Sr. Miss Heart Queen and the Sr. Miss Novice Valentine Pageant;

Hayleigh Homer, 16, of Fergus received one first, one second and one fourth;

Morgan Hutchison, 12, of Arthur received one first and three thirds;

Paige Johnston, 12, of Arthur received two first and won the PreTeen Miss Intermediate Valentine Pageant and the Preteen Miss Heart Queen;

Shayla Logel, 15, of Elora received one first, one third, two sixths and fourth in the Junior Miss Intermediate Valentine Pageant;

Chelsea McFadden, 12, of Fergus received two second, one third, second in the PreTeen Miss Novice Valentine Pageant and won the Beginner Miss Heart Queen;

Kylee Pringle, 12, of Fergus received one first, three seconds, one fourth and fourth in the PreTeen Miss Beginner Valentine Pageant;

Jayda Saunders, 10, of Fergus received three firsts, two seconds and second in the Preteen Miss Beginner Valentine Pageant;

Lainey Saunders, 13, of Fergus received one second, one third, one fifth, one sixth and fourth in the Junior Miss Intermediate Valentine Pageant; and,

Makenzie Worton, 17, of Fergus received one sixth, one seventh and second in the Senior Miss Valentine Pageant.
