Superstars Baton Club wins big again
CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Superstars Baton Club competed in Orangeville at their annual competition on March 1.
Approximately 80 athletes from Arthur, Fergus, Newmarket, Oshawa, Bowmanville, Hamilton, Burlington, and New York state attended.
The teams Too Close (members include Mackenzie Fraser, Alyssa George, Skylar Irwin, Paige Johnston, Shayla Logel and Makenzie Worton), Friend Like Me (members include Amelia Green, Khloe Hall and Millie Schnieders), Fabulous (members include Gia Brodie, Josie Galloway and Olivia Jackson), Dance with Somebody (members include Simone Arbour, Brooklynn Bokor, Alexis Herriot, Morgan Hutchison, Paige Johnston and Lainey Saunders), and Jungle Babies (members include Emma Bedo, Avah Kirby, Makayla Smyth, Maggie Schnieders and Niah Stewart), I Want Candy (members include Lily Cann, Zoe Eaton, Cheslea McFadden, Ali Pratt and Kylee Pringle) all won first place.
Egyptians (members include Olivia Cayer, Jamie Green, Maggie Fisher, Destinee Faust, Sierrah Pichette and Jayda Saunders) and Kiss From A Rose (members include Mackenzie Fraser, Alexis Herriot, Hayleigh Homer, Paige Johnston, Shayla Logel and Lainey Saunders) placed second.
Honourable mention goes to Jump In Line (members include Jamie Green, Chelsea McFadden, Kylee Pringle and Jayda Saunders).
Many of the members competed in individual routines taking home numerous top three placements.
The twirlers are trained by Krista DiStasi, Alyssa George, Makenzie Worton and Bailey Pinder.
