Ten members of the Superstars Baton Club competed in Kitchener at the annual Canadian National Baton Twiriling Association Championships July 4 to 6.
Approximately 150 athletes gathered to compete for the Ruby Cup, National Championship title, Miss Majorette of Canada Pageant and the selection of the Canadian World Team.
Alyssa George, 11, of Fergus was 3rd in Open 2Baton, 2nd in Beg Canadian Strut and 3rd in Intermediate Canadian Solo and 4th in Beginner Canadian 2Baton. She was 5th in the PreTeen Intermediate Miss Majorette of Canada Pageant.
Hayleigh Homer, 11, of Fergus was 2nd in Novice Due and Beg 2 Baton, 4th in Novice Canadian Strut, 9th in Novice Canadian 2Baton and 9th in the PreTeen Beginner Miss Majorette of Canada Pageant.
Skylar Irwin, 11, of Arthur was 2nd in Novice Duet, 11th in Novice Canadian solo and 8th in the Novice Miss Majorette of Canada pageant.
Paige Johnston, 6, of Arthur is the Beginner Canadian Solo champion and Novice Strut Champion and won the Primary Beginner Miss Majorette of Canada pageant.
Audra Jander, 14, of Acton was 10th in Beginner Canadian Rhythmic Twirl.
Bailey Pinder, 17, of Mildmay was 2nd in Advance Canadian Strut and 3rd in Advance Canadian Solo and 2Baton and Rhythmic Twirl and 2nd in the Advance Miss Majorette of Canada pageant.
Elsie Post, 8, of Arthur is the Beginner Canadian Solo, X-Strut and 2Baton Championship and won the Juvenile Beginner Miss Majorette of Canada pageant.
Lauren Robb, 14, of Fergus was 4th in Beginner 2baton, 8th in Beginner Canadian Strut, 10th in Beginner Canadian Solo, 2nd in Beginner Canadian 2Baton, 12th Beginner Canadian Rhythmic Twirl and 3rd in Beginner Miss Majorette of Canada pageant.
Madeline Schindler, 10, of Belwood was 10th in the Novice Canadian Solo, 14th in Canadian Rhythmic Twirl, 11th in Novice Miss Majorette of Canada Pageant.
Makenzie Worton, 12, of Fergus was 1st in Novice 2baton, 4th in Beginner Canadian Strut, 2nd in Novice Canadian 2baton, and is the Beginner Canadian Solo Champion and won the PreTeen Beginner Miss Majorette of Canada Pageant.
The team “Boogie Shoes” won 2nd in their division – members include: Homer, George, Jander, Schindler and Worton. The team “One of Us” placed 6th – members include: George, Jander, Robb, and Worton. The Pom Team “spice” placed 2nd on their debut performance. Congratulations on the excellent performances.
The Duet team of Homer and Irwin are the Novice Canadian Duet Champions.
Elsie Post was selected to represent Canada in Italy at the 2015 NBTA World Championships next April. She qualified in Solo, Strut and 2baton in the Juvenile division. Congratulations Elsie.
