Superintendents appointed

The appointment of two elementary school superintendents was approved by the Upper Grand District School Board recently.

Tracey Lindsay was appointed Superintendent of Program and Gary Slater Superintendent of Education Elementary/School Effectiveness Lead - effective Sept. 1.

Currently principal of program, Lindsay is the former principal of Montgomery Village Public School in Orangeville (2009 to 2011).

Currently Principal at J. D. Hogarth Public School in Fergus, Slater has an administrative career with the board that spans 13 years.

He was previously principal at three Guelph public schools, Taylor Evans, Ottawa Crescent and Edward Johnson. His teaching career began in 1993 with the Toronto District School Board. His contract is effective until August 2015.
