Sunflower tournament to benefit Hospice Wellington Circle of Care
Golf tournament slated for Aug. 18
GUELPH – Registration is open for the Sunflower Open Golf Tournament, held in memory of Darryl Guthrie and in support of Hospice Wellington.
The tournament is slated for Aug. 18 at Guelph Lakes Golf & Country Club.
Step onto the course where every drive, chip, and putt helps keep Hospice Wellington’s Circle of Care strong — supporting individuals and families with compassion, connection, and care when it matters most, officials say.
Space is already limited for this year’s event. As the event sells out fast, contact Phil at pgourlay@hospicewellington.org to be put on the waiting list and next year’s early invite list.
Registration details
$175 per person includes:
– 18 holes of golf (Shotgun start, Best-Ball format);
– use of golf cart;
– steak dinner;
– on-course treats, games, and prizes; and
– hole-in-one contest with a $10,000 prize.
Officials suggest signing up as a foursome. Those who register individually will be paired with fellow supporters.

Part of the Circle of Care
At Hospice Wellington, the Circle of Care brings together compassionate volunteers, skilled staff, generous donors, and a supportive community to ensure no one faces palliative, caregiving, or bereavement journeys alone.
The Sunflower Open Golf Tournament is one of the ways this circle comes to life.
