ABOYNE – Wellington County’s Summer Concert Series is back for its 12th season at the Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) with Thursday evening concerts throughout July and August:
July 10: Doug Clayfield Trio
Rock’n’roll featuring classic rock covers and original compositions from this local trio.
July 17: Fergus Pipe Band & Meggi Faye
Special double-header evening featuring the Fergus Pipe Band, which officials stated “brings the powerful and traditional sounds of bagpipes to life,” followed by a performance from vocalist Meggi Faye.
July 24: Grand River Band
These four musicians have been entertaining southern Ontario for over a decade with their energetic blend of classic rock and contemporary hits spanning the ‘60s through today.
Aug. 7: Moore Band
“Talented family of five singers and multi-instrumentalists brings rich harmonies and versatile performances covering everything from classic rock and Motown to country and rockabilly,” officials stated.
Aug. 14: Ground Cover
This folk-rock band delivers original songs ranging from hard-hitting rock to melodic pop, with themes reflecting queer life experiences, love, community care, and hope for a better world.
Aug. 21: Highbanks Bluegrass Band
A Bluegrass act combining “outstanding instrumental talent with tight vocal harmonies, breathing new life into traditional bluegrass,” officials stated.
All concerts begin at 7pm inside the Heritage Barn on site. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair or picnic blanket. No registration is required, and admission is by donation.
