; Passed away suddenly at Groves Memorial Hospital on January 20, 2010, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Jean Elizabeth (MacDonald) for 62 years. Lovingly remembered by his children Sandra Basler (Tom) of Listowel and Joanne Davidson (Bill), Ray (Trish) and Garry (Linda) of Fergus. Much loved grandpa of Val, Carey and John Basler, Lindsay Geisel, David, Tara and Becky Davidson and Nick, Jake, Zack, Kylie, Andrew and Ryan Sullivan and great grandpa to Caleb, Kole, Sophie and Dylan. Jim is also survived by his brother John (Annie). Predeceased by his brothers Norman & Ralph and his sisters Elva & Marie. Friends were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Friday, January 22 from 2-4 & 7-9pm, with prayers at 1:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 460 St. George St. West in Fergus, on Saturday, January 23 at 10:30am. Interment to take place at St. Mary – St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Elora.
