PALMERSTON – On April 6, families and friends gathered at Martin’s Sugar Bush (Royalmar Farms) between 10am and 3pm for pancakes, horse-drawn wagon rides, and to tour the farm and learn about how maple syrup is made. Proceeds from the entry fee went toward the Palmerston MRI+ Campaign.

Tours of the sugar bush were open for those to see how maple syrup is made as water is boiled off in an evaporator leaving a thick syrup made sticky and sweet by a significantly higher sugar concentration.
