Students moving on in Legion contest

Several county students will be moving on to the Royal Canadian Legion’s district literary and poster contest, after claiming first place in the zone contest. Entrants first compete at their local Legion in various categories, with winners moving on to the zone, district, area and national contests.

Wellington County students who have won at branch and Zone C-3 contests include:

- Andrea Ammerlaan, Mount Forest, junior colour poster;

- Catherine Butts, Fergus, intermediate colour poster;

- Tucker Campbell, Palmerson, senior colour poster;

- Landon Dagenais, Drayton, junior black and white poster;

- Brittany Daize, Mount Forest, senior essay;

- Julianna Golka, Fergus, primary black and white poster;

- Deanna Hieber, Mount Forest, senior black and white poster;

- Hannah Nobel, Fergus, junior poem;

- Shaelyn Thompson, Harriston, intermediate poem; and

- Janice Vanderloo, Fergus, junior essay.
