Students consulted in Arthur skateboard park proposal

KENILWORTH – Students were ready to roll with committee members to help the Arthur skateboard park proposal move forward.

On Dec. 2 Wellington North councillor Lisa Hern said committee members recently met with Grade 6 students from Arthur Public School. She anticipated a further session will be held with the students.

Hern said students seemed willing to take part in fundraising efforts for the park.

“I’m sure they will have some great ideas,” she said.

However, from the first meeting Hern said students did look at the budget “and did make some hard choices  and established priorities.”

“I am sure we will talk about those priorities at the next skateboard park committee meeting.”
