Student-run Angel Campaign supported local food bank

Angel donations – The Community Leadership Class and Student Council at Centre Wellington District High School ran a successful Angel Campaign for the Centre Wellington Food Bank. Over 30 home rooms raised money and bought gifts for families in the community who might not otherwise have presents for the holidays. Home rooms provided gifts for over 40 children and teens – it took three car loads to transport them all.

“This event truly speaks to the generosity of our community and the leadership of our students,” officials stated.

Chelsea Organ, left, and Lindsay Bouwman are two of the three students who led the Angel Campaign (absent: Tarynne Rodrigue).

“Special thanks to Giant Tiger who offered a discount to all the home rooms shopping for Angel gifts and Mark’s Work Warehouse for the donation of warm, fuzzy socks,” officials stated.
