Student art show at Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex

A closer look – Isla main constructed her piece using charcoal, marker and pencil and opted for a green Zentangle background, incorporating six different patterns. The piece took the young artist two days to complete.
The basics – Main said the pieces on display are meant to build up the young artists skills on a few basic techniques such as shading and spacing. The art will be on display until the end of January in boardroom A of the Sportspex.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Grade 9 artist Isla Main poses with her still life piece at the opening of the Centre Wellington High Schools “Still Life in a Busy World” art show at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex on Nov. 26.

The art show displayed pieces from Grade 9 and Grade 10 students and featured a variety of mediums such as charcoal, marker, pencil and coloured pencils.
