Stan Chang returns for Basement Cafe
The Minto Arts Council is welcoming back pianist Stan Chang for a jazz and blues show on Feb. 23 at the Basement Café in the Harriston Library at 8pm.
People who heard Chang the last time have clamoured for his return, organizers say.
“With his drummer Erick Bruck, the audience will not only hear some exceptional jazz and blues playing, but will be entertained by Stan’s terrific sense of humour and his gritty Tom Wait-style voice,” they say.
Chang has been playing piano since the age of 5. Trained classically, he turns a hand equally well to other music genres.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at Home Hardware in Harriston, by calling 519 338-2497 or by arriving early at the door.
Tickets are $20. Along with the free tea, coffee and juice, desserts are sold and wine will also be sold for the first time.
