St. Joseph Catholic School's You’re the Chef Club serves 100th anniversary event
FERGUS – The You’re the Chef Club at St. Joseph Catholic School in Fergus prepared and served lunch to over 40 members of the St. Joseph Parish’s Catholic Women’s League (CWL) on May 23.
Madam Nuholli , left, and Mr. Burns run the after school club every year, using the church’s kitchen and hall. It is designed to teach students simple ways to make some nutritious snacks and meals. The May 23 event was in celebration of the CWL’s 100th anniversary. Students served penne (with or without meat sauce), garlic bread, salad and a dessert of vanilla ice cream with a homemade cookie with butterscotch sauce in a wafer bowl.
