WELLINGTON COUNTY – Rural rompers got to experience the tastes and sights of Wellington County’s diverse farming operations during the Taste Real Spring Rural Romp self-guided farm and food tour last weekend. Local farms, markets and nurseries in Mapleton, Minto and Wellington North welcomed visitors from 10am to 4pm on May 25.

Stephanie Craig and Steve Larmer took a break from their first Rural Romp at Tullamore Lavender Co. near Arthur to pose for a photo among rows of of around 2,500 lavender plants that will bloom next month. The couple is planning a lavender-themed festival for June 22.
