Spring on the Trail runs on May 12

On May 12 the annual Spring on the Trail event celebrates the spring opening of the Kissing Bridge Trailway from Guelph to Millbank.

This year in Ariss, participants can register for an Ariss Valley 5km race with a 10am start) or a more leisurely fun walk hosted by the Guelph Hiking Trail Club at 11am.

Morning activities include face painting, a scavenger hunt, trail bowling, and local food  including boxed lunches that can be ordered in advance from Delish Kitch.

With the purchase of a $20 event passport, participants are eligible to win a $2,500 travel voucher or a $500 prepaid credit card, and will receive a charitable tax receipt.

Participants can registered at local checkpoints at Ariss, West Montrose, Elmira, Wallenstein, Linwood and Millbank) for additional prizes.

All proceeds from the pasSports go to suspension bridges to connect the communities.

Participants can register as an individual, family or corporate group.
