Splash Pad contribution
Mount Forest Lions president Marty Young presented Wellington North councillor Sherry Burke with a $16,000 cheque for the Mount Forest Splash Pad recently. This is the final payment on the Lions Club’s commitment of $50,000 toward the construction of the facility. COVID-19 restrictions have prevented an official opening ceremony, but many children enjoyed the splash pad this summer, noted club officials, who thanked the community for the support in fundraising for the project.
