Spectacular fireworks

The wet weather held off almost perfectly for the annual Elora Lions Club fireworks spectacular held at the Grand River Raceway on May 28.

The club offered a terrific show and there was a large crowd on hand filling the grandstand, bleaches, and seated near the edge of the race track. The Lions have been putting on a fireworks show for over 50 years, and those seem only to be getting better. There were several intervals where multi-shots from the fireworks poured a cascade of colour and bangs into the evening sky.

About five minutes from the end, the rain started, but the majority stayed seated to enjoy the show to its completion.

Those lighting the fireworks had the lights turned on and signaled to the appreciative crowd that the show was over for another year.
