Softball season begins in Ponsonby
The 2017 softball season is ready to go in Ponsonby.
The Ponsonby Recreation Club recently held a spring meeting where it was reported that some 215 players are registered for Softball.
This is up 60 players from last year. This includes nine travelling teams ranging in ages from 7 to 14, of which two, are all girls teams.
The club is now looking for the community’s support in raising funds to replace the aging diamond light structures.
The club will be hosting a mixed 3-pitch tournament May 25 to 28 at the park and are looking for teams to raise funds
