Soehner, Ervin Stanley; August 17, 1920 - December 5, 2012. World War II Veteran. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ervin, but we are at peace that he is in the arms of Jesus his Lord and Saviour. He leaves behind his loving wife Gaye of 67 years of marriage. Loving father of Cheryl (Don) Dimock and Charlene (Robert) Hill. Grandpa to Tammy (Larry), Cherie (Paul), Tricia (James), Jason (Amy), Janice (Trevor), Jeremy and Papa to Michelle, Melissa, Jennifer, Eric, Emma, Paul, Robyn, Andrew, Benjamin, Landon and Austin. Ervin was a loving kind and gentle man, if you knew him, you couldn’t help but love him. Ervin was a Police Officer for the Kitchener Waterloo Police Department, a volunteer Fire Fighter in Oakville and a security officer for Ford Motor Company for 35 years. Friends will be received at Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Elora Cemetery.
