Snow sculpture contest hosted by Optimists

Snow contest - The Optimist Club of Moorefield is holding a snow sculpture contest. Local residents are invited to create snow sculptures and send photos of their completed creations to snowsculptures@moorefieldoptimist.ca by Feb. 9. Pictures will be posted on the club’s Facebook page and followers can vote by “likes” for their favourite sculptures.

Voting will run from Feb. 10 to 9pm on Feb. 13. Winners will be announced on Feb. 15 (Family Day). Winning entries will receive prizes.

The Optimist Club offered a “shout-out” to Minto Mental Health for the “awesome idea.” These photos depict some of the early entrants to the contest.
