SMITH, W. Lindsay 1928-2016. Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, in his 88th year. Survived by his longtime companion Stephen Truchan. Predeceased by his parents William Russell Smith and Edna Pauline Lindsay as well as sister Lorraine Francis Smith. Visitation took place at his home, The Dr. W.F. Savage House located at 45 Colborne Street, Elora on Tuesday October 18th between the hours of 2pm and 9pm. The funeral was held at The Church of St. John The Evangelist (Anglican), 36 Henderson Street, Elora on Wednesday October 19th at 2pm. Lindsay’s body lied “In State” at the church from 12-2pm prior to the service. Interment at The Elora Cemetery followed. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations to Christ Church, Drayton.
