Smiling faces at Fire and Ice pre-New Year’s celebration

PALMERSTON – Hundreds of people flocked to the Palmerston Community Centre on the evening of Dec. 29 for the eighth annual Fire and Ice event. Designed as a family and community celebration, the event is sponsored by Blessings to You. Attendees enjoyed food and snacks and marvelled at the skills of the “Magic Man,” and “Brant the Fire Guy”. There was face painting, music, and public skating, but wet weather saw the fireworks display postponed until New Year’s Eve.
