SMART, Edwin Thomas; Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus, on September 22, 2014 in his 96th year. Predeceased by his wife Wilhelmine (nee Self) in 2013. Lovingly remembered by his daughters Janice Milne of Calgary and Helen Howe of Guelph. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Paul, Julie (Craig), Tracey (Larry) and Kevin (Erica) and his great grandchildren Rob, Natalie, Kaitlyn and Brock. Edwin will be remembered by his daughter-in-law Sandra Smart, many nieces, nephews and other family. Predeceased by his son Barrie (1997) and sons-in-law Harvey Milne (2006) and Rynard Howe (2009). Friends were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus on Thursday, September 25th from 3:00 to 6:00pm. Funeral Service was conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 26th, 2014 at 11:00am, with visitation from 10:30am. Interment at Union Cemetery in Grand Valley.
