Slocans Ramblers coming to Fergus

FERGUS – On July 20, the Juno-nominated Slocan Ramblers will be in Fergus to play the Fergus Grand Theatre in celebration of their new album Queen City Jubilee (which came out last spring).

Rooted in traditional bluegrass music, the band instills both the old and the modern into their creative process.

“Fearlessly inventive and possessing a bold, dynamic sound, The Slocans have quickly become a leading light of Canada’s roots music scene,” officials state.

“With a reputation for energetic live shows, impeccable musicianship and an uncanny ability to convert anyone within earshot into a lifelong fan, The Slocans understand that if you polish up the music, you lose the raw excitement that makes it so vibrant.”

The show at the Fergus Grand Theatre begins at 8pm.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at fergusgrandtheatre.ca.

The Slocan Ramblers are the first show in a series of events called “Strings … and Things” that make up the Fergus Grand Theatre’s 2019-2020 presenting series. This year’s shows feature music and stories that (mostly) feature guitars, violins, and stringed instruments and the powerful stories they can tell.

Single tickets for The Slocan Ramblers are $35 each, and available in the box office, by phone at 519-787-1981, or online at www.fergusgrandtheatre.ca.
