The sixth annual Spring on the Trail event is set for May 14.

Friends and families are encouraged to make their way to the G2G Rail Trail, for a day of fun, laughter and good old fashioned exercise.

Bike, hike, run or walk this beautiful trailway, which is bringing the communities of southern Ontario together.

Checkpoints will be organized throughout each of the trail communities between Guelph and Goderich to point out the way and to ensure that everyone is safe and having a good time.

Everyone is welcome to donate and support their local trails, either at the event or through our websites, g2grailtrail.com or springonthetrail.ca.

Contributions will go to Goderich to Guelph Rail Trail Inc. in order to keep the trailway accessible to everyone.

The organized events will begin at each of the 12 communities along the trail at 9:30am and go until 2pm, but everyone is welcome on the trail at any time.

The majority of the trail is fully accessible, with only a few short detours where bridges are currently inaccessible.

For more information, go to springonthetrail.ca. For maps of the trail, go to g2grailtrail.com.
