SIMPSON, Terrence Stuart 1944 - 2018 With much sadness, Terry’s family announces his passing on March 4, 2018 at Guelph General Hospital. He will be greatly missed by all his loved ones, especially his devoted wife, Jean, loving sons Jason (Monica) and Nate (Tara), dear daughter Heidi (David), as well as his six grandchildren. Terry was a proud Grandpa/Opa to Blythe, Quinn, Dane, Keira, Maija, and Lucie. Predeceased by his parents Russell and Hazel, his brother Hazen, and son-in-law Chad A. Moore. Terry had a full career as a secondary school educator. He spent his retirement years out in nature. Terry found joy in nature throughout his life, but especially in more recent years when he managed his forest, Whitetail Acres. Friends and family were received at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Wednesday, March 7 from 2-5pm, with vigil prayers at 4:45pm. A funeral Mass for Terry will be held at St. John’s Church, 45 Victoria Rd N, Guelph, on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment at Marymount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to FORESTS ONTARIO would be appreciated as a gift to the environment in memory of Terry.
