Simpson, Gordon Douglas (Past Master Wellington Lodge #271 A.F. & A.M., Erin) passed away peacefully at Wellington Terrace on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at age 93. He is survived by his loving wife Charlotte (nee Lindsay). Dear father of Mary Dianne and her husband Doug Hoegy of Kitchener, Kathy of Lindsay and Doug of Marsville. Loved by his grandchildren Greg and Renee. Dear brother of Doris Gentile. Predeceased by his brother Robert (2011). Remembered by sisters-in-law Helen Lindsay and Ruth Simpson. Gord will be missed by other relatives and friends. Gord farmed all of his life on the family farm in Marsville. He was actively involved in community activities. A Memorial Service will be at the Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main St. S., Erin, on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 2pm with Rev. Jeff Davison officiating. Visitation is on Friday evening from 7-9pm. A Masonic Service will be at the funeral home on Friday evening at 9pm. Donations in lieu of flowers to Marsville United Church or The Lion’s Foundation of Canada, for their Dog Guide Programs would be appreciated.
