Simpson, Charlotte Jean; Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at age 87. Charlotte (nee Lindsay) was the beloved wife of the late Gordon Simpson. Dear mother of Mary Dianne and her husband Doug Hoegy of Kitchener, Kathy of Lindsay, and Doug of Marsville. Loved by her grandchildren Greg and Renee. Predeceased by her brother Doug Lindsay. Remembered by sisters-in-law Helen Lindsay, Doris Gentile and Ruth Simpson. Charlotte will be missed by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A special thanks to the Wellington Terrace staff for their wonderful care provided during the past three years. Charlotte was a teacher and taught in many rural schools throughout Ontario. She was actively involved in community organizations and activities. A Memorial Service was held at the Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main St. S., Erin, on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1pm. Visitation was on Friday evening from 7-9pm, and one hour prior to the Memorial Service. Donations in lieu of flowers, to Marsville United Church or Groves Memorial Community Hospital would be appreciated.
