Simmons, Roy Neil; of Palmerston passed away peacefully at the Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday, June 16, 2012 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Pat (Wassing) Simmons for 57 years. Dear father of Randy and Pat Simmons of Toronto, Ron and Debbie Simmons of Tiverton, Debbie and Ken Kraft of North Bruce, and Richard and Janny Simmons of Palmerston. Loving grandfather of Graham, Jessica and Alexander Simmons; Tamara and Shelby Simmons; Eric Kraft and Dan and Shonna Kraft. Brother-in-law of Grace Simmons of St. Clements. Fondly remembered by his extended family, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents John and Annie Mae (McNeil) Simmons, grandson Wade Evan Simmons (2000), brothers Bruce and Mervin Simmons and sister Marjorie Morrison. To honour Roy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Pastor Randall Rehkopf conducted the Memorial Service at the Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church, on Wednesday June 20, 2012 at 11:00am. Interment followed in Palmerston Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
