Silence Guelph welcomes back Tony Molesworth with new show
GUELPH – Silence Sounds in Guelph is set to welcome back multi-skilled artist Tony Molesworth to share his new one-man show, A Mystical Musical Evening.
No stranger to Guelph, Molesworth has been featured in Guelph BanjoFest, and the Guelph Fringe Festival.
For this performance, Molesworth invites the audience to dive into a journey with him which will stir the soul and lift the spirits, officials say.
Singing with banjo, plus spoken word, he weaves tunes, humorous stories, metaphysical musings, one-liners, hippy wisdom and “pro-Fun-ditties” into a happy tapestry of good vibes, they continue in a press release.
Molesworth refers to it as “enlighten-tainment for the magically inclined.”
His diverse talents and experience are apparent from the second he appears on stage, officials say.
While his new show is not specifically comedy, it is to be noted that his most recent show, Banjoker, which he also both wrote and performed in, was awarded “funniest show” in the Nanaimo Fringe Festival.
A seasoned, international comedy club headliner, Molesworth has shared the stage with many stars including Jim Carrey, Howie Mandel, John Candy, Rick Moranis, Russell Peters and Jerry Lewis, and opened for music legends Weird Al, U2, John Mayall and Elvis Costello.

The show will be held Sept. 19 at 46 Essex St., Guelph.
The show begins at 7:30pm.
