Sikkema, Swaantje; The lord has called Home our beloved and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother Swaantje Sikkema nee Kapinga, of Fergus at the age of 100 years. Her eternal happiness is our comfort. She is predeceased by her husband Kornelis Sikkema in 1989. Children: Klaas and Ina Sikkema of Fergus, Dietje and Marten Jansen of Fergus, Henny and Gerry Broersma of Elora and Onno and Annette Sikkema of Elora. Survived by 30 grandchildren and 111 great grandchildren. Visitation was held at the Maranatha Canadian Reformed Church on Belsyde Avenue east on Sunday, May 5th, 2013 from 6:30-9:00pm. Funeral service was held on Monday, May 6th at 11:00am. Reverend J. Huijgen officiating. Interment at Belsyde Cemetery. Donations will be received in support of the Lighthouse in Fergus. (Home for mentally and Physically challenged people).
